Payment Options & Sell To Us T&C's

Payment Options:

1). Buy Out: We will transfer the funds directly to your bank account. This payment will be made within 25 days of agreeing the trade. Our buy-out payments are done on the 1^st and 3^rd Thursday of every month. Please note your payment cannot be scheduled until our Accounts Department have received your banking details.

Please note we bank with Bank Of Ireland and so if you are with a different bank it may take 1-3 working days to show in your account.

2). Trade Credit: We will issue you a Designer Exchange Gift Card. This can be used in store or online and does not expire. Once issued, the gift card is non-refundable.

3). Consignment: We will sell the item(s) on your behalf, and you will get paid if/when it sells. We will schedule your payment on completion of sale, once a 14 day returns period has elapsed. Our consignment payments are done on the last Thursday of every month. If the returns period on your item(s) is complete after the last Thursday of that month, your payment will be scheduled into the last Thursday of the following month.

How To Sell To Us T&C’s:

Once you have replied to your quote email accepting the offer, your item(s) is made available for sale in Designer Exchange. If you change your mind on selling your item(s), or wish to revert to another payment option we will accommodate you where possible. However, please note if the item(s) has already sold we cannot return your item(s) to you or change your payment choice. Please also remember if you choose trade credit as your payment option, this is non-refundable.

If you decline our offer and wish to collect your item(s) in store please reply to your quote email, letting us know in advance, so that we can have your item(s) ready to collect in store. Your trade may not be available to collect if you have not arranged to do so, especially over weekends. Please also bring a copy or photograph of your original trade sheet when collecting.

If you have declined the offer or Designer Exchange has declined the item(s) you must arrange collection of these pieces within 28 days or they will be donated to charity or offered for sale in our store based on the consignment price quotes. You will be paid this price once the item(s) sells.

Please note if you wish to have your item(s) returned to you via DPD this will incur a €10 shipping charge.

Designer Exchange Ltd reserves the right to both amend and withdraw these policies at our discretion. We will endeavour to notify all consignors and sellers of any changes to policy.

How Is Your Item(s) Listed For Sale?

1. A full authentication is completed by our in-house professionals, including AI Digital Authentication with Entrupy, where applicable.
2. The item is then cleaned, polished and prepared for sale.
3. The item is then photographed, listed for sale on our website and promoted on our social channels.
4. Lastly, the item is displayed and merchandised on our shop floor.
